London O2 Arena by Day
As it was being created, the ‘Millennium Dome’ as it was known, had an uncertain future.
Located on the river Thames on the furthest point of the Greenwich Peninsula, it was designed as a testament to the cranes which once served the estuary. It was to host the New Millennium Eve celebrations, where it housed some showcase exhibitions before lying dormant for years.
Now it is thriving as the O2 Arena, the second-largest music venue in the UK, it is one of London’s most easily recognisable landmarks.
