Stardust-to-Stardust

“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood,
the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars.
The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for

The atoms that form the process of life were in other forms
before they became skin and bone, and will be in more forms
after life, passing-through, like fluctuations in the quantum foam,
where mind meets matter.

The grain of salt on your fingertip has no ambition, no sense of purpose,
no stories to tell, but once it's on your tongue it blends with your dreams,
it merges with your emotions, it becomes the message in the things you touch.

Life creates organic functions from what already exists, and returns it
with every breath. We are processes, not things.    

From primal-to-primate, we are stardust-to-stardust.

I made this piece by individually placing and colouring 4,952 stars and
3,592 threads, each twisted into dynamic relationships with its neighbour,
all by hand, no part was generated.
